New: Monitoring Work Planners - what clerks need to know
This session will explore how the use of the annual work planner can be instrumental in supporting the governance role in monitoring the school development plan. Clerks will have the opportunity to share practice and apply their learning to practical examples. Delegates are encouraged to bring a copy of their School Development Plan (or an awareness of the key priorities) for the current academic year.
This session will provide participants with an understanding of the DfE ‘Early Years Foundations Stage’ and the inspection of early years in their school under the New 2019 ‘Ofsted Common Inspection Framework’.
Reference to the guidance materials and table activities will support participants to explore what constitutes effective governance of EYFS, develop their understanding and skills, and feel confident in holding the school properly to account for EYFS provision and outcomes.
